It's not how you start but how you finish

Author Jim George states, "It's not how you start that important, but how you finish!" As another year ends, it's time to self-reflect on our personal and professional progress and gear up for 2024 with full zeal and enthusiasm. We are human, and we tend to make mistakes and wrong decisions. However, deeply regretting your actions is never the solution. Successful people can learn from their mistakes and use the information to grow.

The past few years have been difficult for many people since the outbreak of COVID-19, so many have been severely affected economically, mentally, and socially. Living in the aftermath and learning to cope with the pandemic and how it affected the early childhood education industry is complex. However, in the long run, it doesn't matter how you start; what matters is how you finish and where you are standing at the end.

Free yourself from all the regrets and focus on your future. Before stepping into the new year, take time and self-reflect on your actions. No one can know you better than yourself. You are your greatest friend as well as your greatest enemy. I love to begin with self-analyzing by writing down my thoughts. I start from January and write every little or big thing I did within the year that holds significant value. Then, I rate it out of ten and decide whether to continue doing it or break free. That strategy will give you a good idea about the unhealthy patterns in your life and help you set boundaries for yourself. Taking back the power in your life has to have a starting point. Setting up boundaries before stepping into 2024 will clarify your priorities this year.

You should enter 2024 with complete determination, enthusiasm, and a don't give-up attitude. Remember, giving up is never the solution. It exhibits a coward mentality and reduces your self-esteem. It is a much more significant weakness than failure can ever be. Always keep trying and push through, no matter how difficult or draining the task. You can take breaks in between and start afresh, but remember, keep going! Consistent is the key, along with hard work, so if you are trying, you will succeed.

Before entering 2024, promise yourself that you will not let any external feeling or someone's opinion hinder you. Everyone has a past; do not dwell on it and regret your decisions. What's done is done! Therefore, embrace it with your heart and learn from your mistakes. Take accountability for your choices and build on your experience.

You should enter the new year with a fresh mindset and positive attitude. Let go of all the toxic people in your life, and never look back. Instead, believe in yourself and work hard to achieve your goals. Stay determined and keep track. Ultimately, what matters is not how you start but how you finish. So finish strong and end 2024 with a bang. There are just a few more days to the new year, and you are already in your endgame. So give your best and finish strong!

Conclusively, thank you for staying connected with us this year. I pray 2024 will turn out exactly as you want it to be, and you won't have any regrets. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in advance!
