Who Should Register for Pre-service Training?

Pre-service training is required for individuals with less than two years of experience in childcare in Texas. If you are new to the field, this training is essential to meet state guidelines and prepare for your role.

Why is Pre-service Training Important?

Pre-service training is critical for caregivers who have not yet acquired at least two years of hands-on experience in a childcare facility or in-home daycare. It provides the fundamental knowledge and skills necessary to effectively work with young children and ensure their well-being.

How Many Pre-service Training Hours Are Required by the State?

You must complete 8 clock hours of Pre-service Training before being counted in child-to-caregiver ratios. An additional 16 clock hours must be completed within the first 90 days of employment.

Will Childcare Licensing Accept My Pre-service Training Certificate?

Yes. Our Pre-service Training meets the requirements set by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, aligning with Texas Minimum Standard 746:123 (34) (45) and 746:1317. All Elite Educational Enterprises instructors are certified under Texas Senate Bill 265 and are registered master-level trainers.

Do I Need Additional Coursework After Completing Pre-service Training?

Yes, after completing Pre-service Training, you are still required to complete in-service or annual clock hours of training as mandated by the state.
